The Newport Beach Film Festival, in partnership with eyeDeal pictures, presents a special screening of CHASING GOLD, an inspiring documentary about the American Stand Up Paddling and Paddleboarding Championship team. The Film will screen at the Regency Lido Theater on August 11 at 7pm.

For three years in a row, Team Australia has taken home the gold at the ISA World SUP and Paddleboarding Championships, a Olympic-style event featuring some of the very best in worldwide stand-up paddling and paddleboarding.

No team from the United States has ever won.

Last year the underdog, the US Team, led by spirited efforts of such skilled athletes as Izzi Gomez, Danny Ching, Candice Appleby, Sean Poynter and Jack Bark, defied the odds by making a run for the top of the podium.

Filmmaker Brent Deal deftly weaves together personal and passionate moments that mold this group of highly competitive individuals into a team.
