Chinese Spotlight- End of Summer

While attempting to rebel against his controlling father, a young boy finds a friend in his elderly neighbor. Together, the two bond over the World Cup fever that is sweeping China and the elderly man begins secretly training the boy for the school tryouts. The mission takes an unexpected turn when he discovers his father’s romance with his homeroom teacher. On top of that, his elderly neighbor must reunite with his own family in a faraway city. The unlikely friends have two options: to run away on the adventure of a lifetime, or embrace their fears and walk towards the future that awaits them in autumn. It is a summer of adventure, exploration, and growing pains for three men from three generations.
