Day One

Forced from their home countries due to devastating war, countless of refugees seek shelter in places like the USA. Adjusting to a completely new landscape and culture is never easy, but a unique school in St. Louis hopes to assist teens with their transitional period. They provide healing programs and an education that allows the students and their families to recover and learn in a safe environment despite the dangerous anti-immigration climate that plagues America.

Q&A with filmmakers Lori Miller, Kirt Eftekhar, Peter Tao, Brian O’Connell, David Beerman, Tom Howe, and Vickie Sampson following the screening
