A palm oil boom has led to the devastation of dozens of acres of peat forests throughout Southeast Asia. Due to this destruction, an unnatural haze has accumulated around the homes of displaced minorities and countless local ecosystems and economies, choking all life and causing multiple health problems. With illness running rampant amongst the citizens, scientists attempt to uncover a way to purify the air.
