Irish Spotlight- Maze

Based on the true story of the 1983 mass breakout of thirty-eight prisoners from Maze High Security Prison during the Northern Ireland Conflict. After a hunger strike that left ten IRA prisoners dead before being called off. Determined not to remain silenced, he befriends his unsuspecting warden. Initially they are confirmed enemies, born on opposite sides of Northern Ireland’s political divide, but when the prisoner realizes that the warden may be unwittingly useful for his escape plan, a slow seduction begins resulting in far reaching consequences for both of them.

Also Playing: Hey Ronnie Reagan

In 1984 a tiny anonymous Tipperary village was thrust into the world’s spotlight when US President Ronald Reagan arrived to visit his ancestral home. It was said that Ballyporeen would never be the same again…
