Theater Watch: What to See in October

As we say goodbye to September and all its amazing film releases, we welcome October as another month of many must watch films. From drama, comedy, supernatural, or thriller… no matter your preference of genre, October has it all in store. Here are our top picks to look out for!

Freeheld: Written by Ron Nyswaner, directed by Peter Sollett, and starring Julianne Moore and Ellen Page

Freeheld is a drama following a New Jersey police lieutenant and her domestic partnership after she is diagnosed with terminal cancer. In the film Laurel Hester (Moore) fights against all odds to secure her pension benefits for Stacie Andree (Page), her partner, in order for her to be well kept after she is gone.
