About the TV Showcase
The Newport Beach Film Festival is proud to be partnering with Variety on its inaugural TV Awards Showcase taking place at The Port Theater on April 24-26th.
This three-day exclusive event will showcase 6 of the hottest and most buzzworthy television shows that are right for award season contention. Each screening will be followed by an intimate Q&A session with the cast and crew moderated by the Television Editorial Staff at Variety.
The Showcase will kick off the weekend on Friday with an Award Ceremony honoring iconic figures in television today. For the past century, television has been a key component in the entertainment industry and continually persisted to accomplish groundbreaking achievements. With the advancement in cable and streaming services, television series’ audiences have become more engaged than ever.
NBFF strives to acknowledge all forms of story-telling and incorporating television will make a stellar addition to a Festival centered around cinematic arts. Honorees and Q&A participants TBD.
About The Port Theater
The Newport Beach Film Festival and Variety TV Awards Showcase is thrilled to establish a home for this glamorous event right in the heart of Newport Beach.
Since 1949, the Port Theater has stood a symbol of Newport Beach iconography on a prominent corner of Pacific Coast Highway. The Port Theater is unique from any other movie theater, offering the ultimate elegant experience. This modernized event venue provides an all-inclusive bar and concession in addition to presenting the finest content on the big screen. Featuring moveable seating, built-in audio/visual equipment, customizable state-of-the-art technological amenities, and enough space to accommodate up to 500 guests.
