Digital Networks. In this role she develops short- form episodic series like I Love Bekka and Lucy, which was the first digital series to ever screen at the SXSW Film Festival in 2017, and is currently being distributed online. Other shows include the critically acclaimed horror anthology series, Two Sentence Horror Stories, the upcoming action grindhouse series, La Quinceañera and comedy series, Incredible Life of Darrell. Prior to Stage 13, Davila established and ran the U.S. non-profit, Ambulante California, a traveling documentary film festival that originated in Mexico by Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal. She has over twelve years of experience in film programming at various top-notch festivals like Sundance Film Festival, where she has been a Programming Associate since 2008.Dávila is also a Programmer at the Curaçao International Film Festival Rotterdam, which focuses on discovering emerging Caribbean filmmakers. She tracks American Latino films and filmmakers, and the independent film festival scene on her blog chicanafromchicago.com . KJ RELTH KJ Relth is a film programmer, writer and lecturer based in Los Angeles. She has served on the juries of several film festivals, including Fantastic Fest and the Denver Film Festival, and is in her second year as associate shorts programmer for AFI Fest. Currently, Relth is a film programmer for UCLA Film and Television Archive, where she recently mounted “Working Girls,” a ten-night screening series focusing on America’s career women on screen across the 20th century. Relth was previously on the programming team at the Cinefamily, and has presented film programs at the Bob Baker Marionette Theater, the Vista Theatre, and Veggie Cloud. Her time spent in editorial at the International Documentary Association made her a frequent contributor to Documentary magazine, where she fostered an affinity for structurally experimental non-fiction and found footage works. She holds a Master of Arts in Media Studies and Film from The New School, with a focus on representations of gender and sexuality in film and popular culture. JENNIE MORRIS Jennie Morris is a television executive with 20 years of experience in Programming, Marketing and International Business Development. She is currently Programming Strategy Lead at Facebook, working on original programming for the Watch video product. Prior to Facebook, Jennie was EVP, Acquisitions, Research, Scheduling and Operations for Pivot, working to build and run the television network, which was dedicated to content that inspires social change. Before joining Pivot, Jennie was VP of Marketing for AMC’s international business, where she led consumer, trade, affiliate and digital marketing efforts across the globe for AMC and Sundance Channel. Before joining the AMC international team, Jennie worked on content planning, scheduling and acquisitions for Sundance Channel, IFC and Showtime Networks. Jennie is a proud participant in the ever-evolving world of television content across traditional linear, OTT and digital offerings both in the US and internationally and is looking forward to what comes next. Jennie earned her JD/MSW from Boston College and her BA in Russian Studies from UC Santa Cruz. She lives in LA with her husband, Mikhail, two sons, Jonah and Eli, and adorable dog, Winston. DAVID BAXTER Writer/Producer David Baxter received his degree in psychology from the University of Michigan and worked in corporate marketing prior to his work as assistant to Academy Award winning documentary director, Errol Morris. Baxter earned his master’s degree from UCLA’s Producer’s Program and produced his first feature film, Shooting Lily that won the 1996 SXSW Film Festival. After graduating from UCLA, Baxter ran development for Maple Palm Productions for SCTV alum Dave Thomas. At Maple Palm Baxter developed and was a producer on Ambushed, a thriller starring Courtney Vance and Virginia Madsen for HBO. Baxter became a member of the WGA after selling Nuvolari, an epic auto- racing script, to 20th Century Fox. Baxter is the recipient of the 2004 Alfred P. Sloan Foundation/ Tribeca Film Institute screenwriting grant for two science themed film projects, The Broken Code, about the controversy surrounding scientist Rosalind Franklin and the discovery of the structure of DNA and Face Value, about the life of actress/ inventor Hedy Lamarr, whose “frequency hopping” patent was the basis for spread spectrum technology.
