This is the first in our “Theater Watch” series, where we review what we’re excited to see this month in theaters.
2015 has been a year full of amazing film releases in all categories and genres. The latter has been impeccable as films range from Biography such as Straight Outta Compton, to Drama like Southpaw, Fantasy demonstrated in Ex Machina and finally Action/Adventure found in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. However, that is not all. Viewers were able to experience films on the big screen that were first presented in a variety of film festivals, for example People, Places, Things and The Diary of a Teenage Girl. With all these incredible films already released and lingering in our rearview mirror, the main question on the minds of all film enthusiasts is: “What films should we watch out for?” September is month full of upcoming film releases, and here is a list of a few to consider!
The Intern: Written and directed by Nancy Meyers, starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro.
The Intern is a comedy that displays a 70-year-old widowers dissatisfaction with retirement, leading him to take an internship at an online fashion site.

Black Mass is a biography, crime and drama film starring Johnny Depp. It tells the story of James “Whitey” Bulger one of the most dangerous gangsters in U.S. history, who pursues the life of crime in 1970s Boston and forms an alliance with the FBI to fight against the Italian mob.

The Martian- Directed by Ridley Scott, screenplay written by Drew Goddard and starring Matt Damon.
The Martian is an Action/Adventure Sci-Fi which takes the viewer through the obstacles endured by Mark Watney, an astronaut who is left behind on planet Mars after a wrong assumption. Now Watney must utilize the small amount of supplies he has in order to survive the hostile planet, while NASA figures out a way to bring him back to Earth.

The line-up of films that are scheduled to be released in September is an accurate display of the cinematic success 2015 has had. Though The Martian’s release date is scheduled for October 2nd, it allows film enthusiasts to be exited for the last few months of what 2015 has to offer. Whether it is Action/Adventure, Romantic Comedy, Crime or Drama, September is a month filled with films that are “MUST SEE”!
