2019 Fall Honors

On Sunday November 3rd, the Newport Beach Film Festival hosted it’s fall honors in partnership with Visit Newport Beach.

Included in those recognized were our 2019 Fall Icon and Arts of Distinction as well as Variety’s ’10 Brit’s to Watch.’

Alfre Woodward (12 Years a Slave) received the festival’s illustrious Icon award. Receiving the Artist of Distinction Awards are: Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, upcoming In the Heights); Allen Leech (Downton AbbeyBohemian Rhapsody); Tracy Letts (Ford v FerrariLittle Women); and Melissa Rauch (The LaundromatThe Big Bang Theory).

If you haven’t seen Variety’s chosen 10, they are as follows:

Jessie Buckley (Judy, Wild Rose, “Chernobyl”);

Cynthia Erivo (“The Color Purple,” Harriet);

Maya Hawke (“Stranger Things,” Once Upon a Time in Hollywood);

Kelvin Harrison, Jr. (LuceWaves);

Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place, Ford v Ferrari, Honey Boy);

Rob Morgan (The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Just Mercy);

Camila Morrone (Mickey and the Bear);

Margaret Qualley (“Fosse/Verdon,” Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Seberg);

Da’Vine Joy Randolph (“On Becoming a God in Central Florida”)

The Annual Newport Beach Film Festival Fall Honors featuring Variety’s 10 Actors to Watch, in partnership with Visit Newport Beach will take place on Sunday November 3rd.
